The desert has always drawn me in – I grew up in Central Oregon, right on the line between mountains (west) and desert (east). Though I spend most of my time in the mountains, there’s something about going out east to the desert – to where it’s quiet and wild – that just bring me so much peace. As I’ve grown older, I seem to head out east more than I head west. The desert is capturing my heart! Last month I had the pleasure of attending Rooted Workshop in Moab, Utah. This desert elopement was my favorite session of the trip. We woke up at sunrise and ventured into Arches National Park to shoot this elopement. We shot as the sun slowly rose, drenching the earth in its warmth. Crossing my fingers I get to spend more time in this beautiful place – exploring, basking in the warmth of the sun, and maybe to shoot another desert elopement too! Here’s another desert wedding (at the amazing Ranch at the Canyons) that I’ll never, ever get over.
